Set in the stunning courtyard of Buena Vista Winery, this outdoor concert is the perfect summer evening escape. Arrive early to enjoy a glass of wine, bring a picnic, and soak in the beauty of the surroundings before the music begins.
Radiant, lyrical, and irresistibly warm, Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings is one of the great celebrations of the string ensemble. Written early in his career, the work unfolds in graceful arcs of melody, infused with gentle Bohemian dance rhythms and glowing harmonies. Its blend of elegance and heartfelt simplicity captures Dvořák’s gift for transforming folk spirit into refined instrumental beauty, moving effortlessly from tender introspection to buoyant joy. Josef Suk, Dvorak‘s son-in-law and artistic heir, based his Meditation on a centuries-old Czech hymn. Suk extends his mentor’s lyrical legacy into a more searching, introspective sound world—rooted in tradition, yet shadowed by history.
