Welcome to the 2026 Season: Postcards from Dvořák

Join us for an unforgettable summer of music as the Valley of the Moon Music Festival presents Postcards from Dvořák—a season exploring the profound influence of travel, relationships, and cultural exchange on creativity through the life and music of Antonín Dvořák.

Each concert this season offers a musical “postcard” from a different chapter of Dvořák’s life, featuring composers he knew, composers he may have encountered along the way, and composers he later influenced.

Over three weekends in July, enjoy 10 chamber music concerts performed by an intergenerational roster of extraordinary artists, including Artistic Directors Tanya Tomkins and Eric Zivian, alongside rising stars and distinguished faculty. Experience the debut performances of our 2026 Apprentices and the return of the beloved Fellowship Quartet, an opportunity to hear tomorrow’s leading artists today.

This season also includes a variety of community-centered events, including a pay-what-you-choose Alfresco Concert at La Luz Center, as well as a joyful free Kids & Family Concert, open rehearsals, and special pop-up performances. Enrich your experience with insightful pre-concert lectures curated by renowned musicologist Kate van Orden, and enjoy complimentary wine receptions following each performance at Hanna Center, where you can meet the artists and connect with fellow music lovers.

See you in July in Sonoma!
