Introducing Fermata Fridays

Musically, the Italian word “fermata” signifies an unusually long pause, more dramatic than a rest.

.

While taking a pause from life as we know it, VMMF presents Fermata Fridays, a series of interviews with Festival musicians, lecturers, and other members of the VMMF community. Hosted by VMMF Artistic Director Tanya Tomkins via Zoom, from the home she shares with Music Director Eric Zivian in Berkeley, CA, the interviews will come to you each Friday spotlighting a different VMMF artist, their music, and the music that they love. We look forward to sharing these with you!
